1. Rubber body: As the core component responsible for sealing functionality, the rubber body is made from high-performance elastic materials such as nitrile rubber, fluorocarbon rubber, and silicone rubber. Leveraging its inherent elastic deformation capabilities, it closely conforms to the surface of rotating shafts, effectively preventing the leakage of lubricating oil, hydraulic fluid, and other media. Different rubber materials are suited for different application scenarios; for instance, nitrile rubber is ideal for standard oil-resistant environments, while fluorocarbon rubber maintains excellent sealing performance under high-temperature and highly corrosive conditions.
2. Steel skeleton: The steel skeleton, formed by stamping high-strength metal materials, is embedded within the rubber body, serving as the “skeleton” of the oil seal. It provides rigid support for the rubber body, not only enhancing the overall structural strength of the oil seal but also preventing deformation caused by installation forces or operational pressures. Additionally, it ensures precise positioning of the oil seal within the equipment cavity, thereby improving stability and reliability after installation.
3. Clamping spring: This is the key component enabling dynamic sealing in SC-type oil seals. The ring spring wraps around the outer side of the sealing lip, continuously applying radial pressure to ensure the sealing lip remains tightly in contact with the rotating shaft. Even under operating conditions such as pressure fluctuations, shaft eccentricity, or lip wear, the spring automatically compensates for gaps to maintain good contact between the sealing lip and shaft surface, thereby ensuring efficient sealing performance under complex conditions such as high/low temperatures and high speeds.
